I have 2 usb ports on my win98se computer. How can i make them work and recognize my usb sticks?

Hi
Several things need to happen. You need to have the 98SE drivers loaded
Then since Windows 98 has no support for USB sticks You need to find a driver. Actually Anything that is USB and plugged into the Windows 98SE computer will need proper drivers. Windows 98SE USB support was barely there.
I did find these generic USB Mass Storage drivers,
Warning! Please read this first.
I have not tested or tried these, be careful
As far as Malwarebytes Premium and My Antivirus scans go they are clean. That is not definitive so scan them too.
usb2.0 driver for win98.exe
Page in Italian, look for the >> Download << at the bottom of the page.

the optimal driver would be one from the drive maker.

Unfortunately, some drives are detected as an unknown device and appear in the USB Controllers category in Device Manager. I can't see any way to get the real driver installed when that happens.

my issue is working usb2 but I have a USB3 optical DVD burner that loads and recognises as a usb cdrom in Millennium but won't mount discs like theres something missing in iosubsys
